Description/ what it is
The color of your skin is given by the melanin produced by melanocytes, cells of the dermis. In the case of excessive production of melanin, we speak of "hyperpigmentation" which is the basis of the formation of all skin lesions defined as pigmented.
The formation of hyperpigmented lesions is linked to various factors such as hormonal, environmental, age and sun exposure.
Different types of skin lesions can form as a result of improper and poorly controlled melanin production such as moles, freckles, age spots or melasma.
Treatment
The most popular treatments used involve the use of chemical peels and lasers.
