Description/ what it is
With aging, blood vessels, can weaken and increase in diameter. As a result of this anatomical variation, blood vessels become visible in the skin. Depending on the location and the type of vessel involved, different types of vascular lesions can be recognized, such as varicose veins, port wine stains, or telangiectasias.
Varicose veins, mainly present in the lower limbs, are very common. When they become very evident only surgical treatment can eliminate then. When taken in time, they can be treated in a decisive and non-invasive way with the use of specific lasers.
Port wine stain is another case of superficially evident dilated veins, less common but very visible, especially when it appears on the face.
Capillaries and telangiectasias are less serious vascular pathologies but at the same time the cause of little accepted imperfections.
Hemangiomas are often present from birth. They are benign tumors that appear shortly after birth as pinkish-red spots that grow over time and throughout adulthood.
Rosacea is a chronic but treatable condition that primarily affects the central face and is often characterized by flare-ups and remissions. Typically begins any time after age 30 as flushing or redness on the cheeks, nose, chin, or forehead that may come and go. Over time the redness tends to become ruddier and more persistent, and visible blood vessels may appear. Left untreated, inflammatory bumps and pimples often develop, and in severe cases the nose may grow swollen and bumpy from excess tissue.
Results
Thanks to the use of modern laser technologies, all these injuries can be treated successfully and in a non-invasive way and with few side effects.
Laser treatments can be just what is needed to eliminate rosacea, as well as different types of vascular lesions such as port wine stains, hemangiomas, capillaries, and leg veins. The laser works to constrict blood vessels without harming the surrounding tissue. Leg veins and spider veins visibly disappear and vascular imperfections on the face, including rosacea, are erased.
Most recent laser treatments act without downtime, incisions and with negligible discomfort.
